The Leafy Seadragon is the cousin of the Seahorse and are only found in the waters off the coast of southern Australia. Their leaf-like appendages make it very easy for them to blend in with the surrounding rocky reefs and seaweed beds. These animals do not have teeth or a stomach, so they have to eat quite frequently, feasting mostly on plankton and small crustaceans. Though their bodies appear wavy and possibly flexible, they have hard plates that cover their skin and limit mobility.
